Tractor-Trailer Hauling Chewing Gum Additives Catches Fire Near Spaghetti Junction
Around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, a tractor-trailer hauling 36,000 pounds of chewing gum additives caught fire alongside a DeKalb County interstate, the AJC reports. The driver, whose identity and condition were not immediately available, did suffer burns.
The fire broke out on I-85 northbound just south of Pleasantdale Road, blocking the four right lanes for more than an hour. By 6:15 a.m., all the lanes were open.
