Woman Survives Near-Fatal Tractor-Trailer Accident on Bay Bridge
A Chesapeake Bay woman miraculously survived a three-car collision that sent her vehicle careening off of the Bay Bridge. The three-car incident occurred on the eastbound Bay Bridge, and authorities say that it seems as though the tractor-trailer hit one of the two vehicles, causing it crash into the Jersey wall and roll into the bay.
22-year-old Morgan Lake, the sole passenger of the car that dropped 40 feet into the water, managed to escape the sinking vehicle and swim 35-40 feet to shore. Thankfully, the occupants of the second passenger car were not injured.
