Two Police Officers Involved in Wrecks; One Pedestrian Injured
On Monday afternoon, two Roswell police officers were involved in accidents on Holcomb Bridge Road, the AJC reports. The officers were responding to a third wreck on GA 400.
Lisa Holland, the Roswell police spokeswoman, told Channel 2 Action News that the first wreck occurred around 6 p.m. on GA 400 Southbound, north of Holcomb Bridge Road. The driver sustained minor injuries when her vehicle struck the median wall.
According to Holland, the officer responding to the crash collided with another vehicle when the other driver failed to yield. The officer had both the lights and sirens activated to alert the other driver. No one was injured in the wreck.
Another officer, who was responding to the GA 400 crash, struck a pedestrian at Holcomb Bridge and Grimes Road. The male pedestrian was taken to North Fulton Hospital in stable condition. The officer was taken for x-rays due to an injured knee.
The Alpharetta police are now investigating the pedestrian accident.
