Three Children, Two Adults Killed in a North Carolina Tragic SUV Accident
A North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper reported a sports utility vehicle ran off of an unpaved national forest road into a canal about 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2011. The vehicle landed on its roof under several feet of water. Tire marks on the road indicate that speed was a likely factor.
The five victims were the female driver, an adult male, and three children. Two of the children involved in the fatal accident were infants found in their car seats, after the SUV was pulled from the water.
