The Atlanta trial attorney continues to be recognized as a leader in the state of Georgia
(March 7, 2022) ATLANTA, GA—Geoffrey Pope, co-founder of personal injury law firm Pope & Howard, P.C. in Atlanta, Georgia, has been named a Georgia Super Lawyer for the 16th consecutive year. Pope was first named a Georgia Super Lawyer in 2007 and continues to be recognized by his peers for his contributions to the Georgia legal community.
“It’s amazing to think I have been named a Georgia Super Lawyer for 16 years,” Pope said. “I am honored to receive this kind of distinction, especially since it comes from my peers in Georgia.”
Pope grew up in Americus, Georgia, and earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. He has been a member of the Georgia Bar since 1993 and started Pope & Howard with fellow law school classmate Marc Howard in 2005.
Pope, an experienced trial lawyer, has been practicing law in Georgia for almost 30 years. Prior to starting Pope & Howard, he defended product manufacturers, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other businesses. Since starting his own firm, he has turned his attention to individuals, families, and businesses that have been injured by the wrongful conduct of others.
“I’m committed to fighting on behalf of victims in serious personal injury cases, including medical malpractice, serious car and truck wrecks and more, to get the best results for clients in the most compassionate way possible,” Pope added.
Throughout his career, Pope has remained an active member of the Georgia legal community. He is a Past President of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and was recently sworn in as President of the Georgia Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Super Lawyers is a rating service that analyzes lawyers from 70+ practice areas, including personal injury, in each state. Peer reviews and ratings weigh heavily in the selection process.
All lawyers who are evaluated as Super Lawyers have attained a high-degree of professional achievement, and are highly regarded in their respective states. The process Super Lawyers uses to review each lawyer is patented, but includes third party research, peer reviews and evaluations, and the number of professional accomplishments; only the top five percent of lawyers in each state are named to the list.
