A pedestrian was killed on Friday evening when he was hit by a car near Austell, Georgia, according to the AJC. The man, from Marietta, was crossing the street when he was struck by a Volkswagen Jetta driven by a woman from Austell.
The man was taken to WellStar Cobb Hospital and was pronounced dead there. The driver of the Jetta was not injured, and has not been charged.
