Lilburn Police Trying to Identify Pedestrian Who Was Struck and Killed
Lilburn police have yet to identify a man who was struck and killed while crossing near Pleasant Hill and Burns Road on Sunday, the AJC reports.
According to police, the man was hit around 8:45 p.m. as he was walking across a dimly lit section of roadway. He later died at Eastside Medical Center.
Right now, there are no charges pending against the driver, whose name has not been release.
The pedestrian was a Hispanic male between the age of 25 and 35 years old, with short black hair and facial stubble. The AJC description included that he was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black Levi jeans (waist size 33, a brown Dickies belt, and Nunn Bush shoes (size 9-1/2).
Police found a receipt in the man’s possession which led them to the Walmart in Duluth. They recovered surveillance video of the man parking a red pick-up truck and entering the store. The make and model of the truck were not identified, but there was a silver tool box in the back.
