Marc Howard Selected for the Best Lawyers in America© List for Eighth Consecutive Year
ATLANTA, GA (August 17, 2023) — Leading Atlanta trial lawyer Marc Howard, co-founder of personal injury law firm Pope & Howard, P.C., has been chosen for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© publication for the eighth year in a row. He was recognized in the 2024 Edition in the following two categories: Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs and Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs.
“It’s very exciting to receive this honor for another year, especially since the nominations come from my colleagues in the Atlanta legal community,” Howard said. “It’s wonderful to be recognized by my peers in this way.”
The Best Lawyers in America is one of the legal industry’s oldest peer-review publications, designed to help people throughout the country find the most qualified lawyers in a specific local area.
Lawyers from across the country are recognized in 146 different practice areas. Howard was recognized in two separate practice areas: personal injury litigation as well as product liability litigation. He has been practicing law now for 30 years; after graduating from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1993, he was admitted to both the Georgia and Virginia Bars in the same year.
“Both personal injury and product liability law are very competitive fields in Georgia, so it’s very humbling to be recognized in both practice areas,” Howard added.
Howard and fellow Georgia attorney Geoff Pope started Pope & Howard, P.C. in 2005 with a mission to defend clients with compassion, integrity and purpose. He not only fights to get his clients just compensation in truck and car accident cases, medical malpractice lawsuits and more, but also strongly believes in helping educate fellow lawyers and giving back to his community.
Howard is a past president of the Sandy Springs Bar Association in Georgia and also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Appleseed Center for Law & Justice, a nonprofit law center dedicated to increasing justice in Georgia through law and policy reform and community engagement. He was recently selected to serve on the Georgia Bar’s Judicial Qualifications Commission Nominating Committee for the 2026 term. This standing committee receives nominations from members of the Bar to the Judicial Qualifications Commission (JQC) and provides a list of recommendations to the Executive Committee and the Board of Governors for approval and submission to the various appointing authorities.
