(March 7, 2023) ATLANTA, GA—Trial attorney Geoffrey Pope, co-founder of personal injury law firm Pope & Howard, P.C. in Atlanta, Georgia, was recently named a Georgia Super Lawyer for the 17th consecutive year.
“I am humbled to receive the honor of Georgia Super Lawyer for another year,” Pope said. “Being recognized for my work in the Atlanta legal community, especially since it comes from my peers in Georgia, brings me great joy.”
Super Lawyers is a rating service that analyzes lawyers from 70+ practice areas, including personal injury, in each state. Peer reviews and ratings weigh heavily in the selection process.
All lawyers who are evaluated as Super Lawyers have attained a high-degree of professional achievement, and are highly regarded in their respective states. The process Super Lawyers uses to review each lawyer is patented, but includes third party research, peer reviews & evaluations, and the number of professional accomplishments. According to the Super Lawyers website, only the top five percent of lawyers in each state are named to the list.
Pope, who was first named a Georgia Super Lawyer in 2007, grew up in Americus, Georgia, and earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. He has been a member of the Georgia Bar since 1993 and started Pope & Howard with fellow law school classmate Marc Howard in 2005.
An experienced trial lawyer, Pope has been practicing law in Georgia for close to 30 years. Prior to starting Pope & Howard, he defended product manufacturers, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other businesses. Since starting his own firm, he has turned his attention to individuals, families, and businesses that have been injured by the wrongful conduct of others.
“Our firm specializes in trying serious personal injury cases, including medical malpractice, catastrophic car and truck wrecks and more,” Pope added. “Our approach of compassionate representation and proven results has allowed us to handle very sensitive cases and achieve a good outcome for our clients and their families.”
Throughout his career, Pope has remained an active member of the Georgia legal community. He is a Past President of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and recently served a term as President of the Georgia Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
