Forsyth County Teen Dies in Car Crash
A Forsyth County teen died in a two-vehicle wreck on Monday around 4 p.m. Investigators believe excessive speed and wet conditions may have been factors in the accident.
Kyle Alan Robins, 17, was driving a four-door sedan across Hendrix Road in Cumming, about two miles from North Forsyth High School when the accident occurred. A classmate was in the front seat at the time of the crash.
Robins died after crossing the line and into the path of an oncoming pickup truck, Coroner Lauren McDonald III told the AJC late Monday. The front seat passenger, Joel Knost, was transported by ambulance to North Fulton Hospital, where he was in critical condition. Both teens were juniors at North Forsyth High School.
Three people in the truck were also injured including an 18-year-old woman and two juveniles who were transported to hospitals by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
