Atlanta Woman Involved in Car Crash with Police Officer Died
Jacqueline Culp, 59, of Atlanta, died of injuries that resulted from a car crash that also injured an Atlanta police officer. The accident, which occurred at Cascade and Fairburn roads, took place on Saturday.
According to the AJC, Officer Joshua Sieck was driving an APD cruiser along Cascade Road to respond to a call for assistance when he collided with the BMW that Culp was driving along Fairburn Road. After the impact, Culp’s BMW sideswiped a Chevrolet Impala that was sitting at the red light on Cascade Road facing eastbound.
Both Culp and Sieck had to be extricated from their vehicles. Sieck was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Culp was taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where she died. The driver of the Impala was also taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, but with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
